Why attend this course?

Under current legislation (IRR 1999) it is a requirement that all companies handling or using radioactive materials have in place a contingency plan to cover the retrieval, and ensuring the safety of, any source in the highly unlikely event of the source becoming detached or displaced from its shielded container. Designed to help with all aspects of emergency response while observing the principles of As Low As is Reasonably Practical (ALARP).
